ONE-OF-A-KIND ROLLER COASTER IS OPEN
Maggie Valley, NC – The world’s only roller coaster that is literally located on the side of a mountain, the Cliffhanger, is now open at Ghost Town in the Sky, Western North Carolina’s mountain top theme park and family destination.
After months of delays this year, the NC Department of Labor’s Elevator and Amusement Devise Bureau gave the “thumbs up” today after conducting multiple tests and inspections since 2007.
The Cliffhanger is operating during Ghost Town’s remaining 2009 scheduled operating days, and is also open and available to ride when the House of Terror is open.
HOUSE OF TERROR OPEN ALSO OPEN
House of Terror, a haunted attraction located within the mile-high theme park, is open Thursdays through Sundays until November 1st.
House of Terror is open from 6pm until the last person leaves. Pricing is $20 for ages ten and up and $10 for children under 10. For today only, visitors of the House of Terror will receive a $3 discount in celebration of the Cliffhanger opening.
Now that the Cliffhanger is open, all rides are now operating, including Ghost Town’s Scenic Train. The train circles around Western Town within the mountain top theme park and provides beautiful views of the surrounding mountains.
Maggie Valley is looking a lot like fall. The annual decorations have been delivered and the town is looking great. Take a look at the pictures of what Realty World Heritage has done to contribute to the fall atmosphere.
The sun was shining all morning today and yesterday was a great day as well. I was able to get new pictures of several listings, BUT the rain is back. I do not know what the forecast is and I really do not care although I do hope it is not another 3 weeks of rain.
I do believe it will be a great leaf season with all the wet stuff that we have had. The leaves are starting to change and just wait for some of that cool weather to make its way to our area. It is safe to say this is our favorite time of year. The smells, colors, and views are unbeatable!
